HOME FIRE SAFETY CHECKLIST

 

The Waskesiu Fire Department provides fire and rescue services to Prince Albert National Park including the community of Waskesiu. The Fire Department consists of one part time Fire Chief, 4 Captains and 17 Firefighters during our peak summer season. Firefighters are paid for emergency responses and training. 

Dispatching is done by 9-1-1 Fire dispatch which is located in the City of Prince Albert. The department operates out of one fire hall using custom fire truck Engine 171. The department has mutual aid agreements with the Lakeland Fire Department and City of Prince Albert Fire Department.

 

About Engine 171:

  • 2001 Pierce Contender

  • 1250 gallon per minute pump

  • 1000 gallon water tank

  • 800 Feet of 5-inch supply hose

  • Seating for 6 firefighters
