Townsite
The Red Deer Trail provides a means for
Waskesiu skiiers to walk out their door to 25 km of ski trails.
The skiing portion of the trail has two sections that link Wapiti,
Fisher and Beaver Glen ski trails. The majority of the Red Deer
Trail travels through the Community Fuel Break which offers excellent
wildlife viewning opportunities. Since the route follows the edge
of the fuel break, there are no road crossings at which it is recommended
skiers walk across.
