Prinace Albert National Park Photo Contest Waskesiu

The Waskesiu Community Council in conjunction with Parks Canada invite you to submit your most memorable photographs while vacationing in Prince Albert National Park. Send us your best and you might win one of three great prizes in three categories

WHAT TO SHOOT
Capture the essence of your trip, an image that speaks of the ideal PANP vacation. There are three categories:

Saskatchewan's Playground -People enjoying the park
The Wonder of Nature - Places, plants and animals in the park.
A Moment in Time- Remembering the park’s rich historical roots!

All photos must be taken in Prince Albert National Park. Let your creativity speak for itself.

WINNERS' CIRCLE
Winning entries will be announced in September 2004. Winning photos will be featured on www.waskesiu.org.

DEADLINE
Entries for the contest must be postmarked no later than September 7th, 2004

CONTEST RULES

1. Contest entrants must have traveled to PANP at time of entering the contest and at the date of use of any prize awarded.

2. Entries must be original color prints, slides, larger transparencies or digital. Do not send negatives or photo CDs. Maximum size is 8 x 10 inches. An electronic upload will be made available for those submitting digital photos.
Some restrictions will apply as to format.

3. Entries must have been taken during a vacation at Prince Albert National Park.

4. Each entry must be labeled clearly with your name and location where photo was taken. Multiple entries are permitted.

5. Entries must be postmarked by September 7, 2004. Late or incomplete entries will not be considered. Neither Parks Canada nor The Waskesiu Community Council will confirm receipt of entries.

6. Neither Parks Canada nor The Waskesiu Community Council are responsible for damage or loss to entries that may occur while in transit. Late, mutilated, or previously published photographs are not eligible.

7. All entries become the property of Parks Canada and The Waskesiu Community Council and will not be returned. Parks Canada and The Waskesiu Community Council reserve the right to use images entered in the contest in internal and external publications. The photographer will be recognized whenever and wherever the image(s) are shown.

8. Prizes will be awarded as follows:
(a) First Prize:

· 2 Night Accommodation at the Hawood Hotel*

· 2005 PANP Annual Family Pass

· 2 Rounds of Golf* at the Lobstick

· 2 Night Back Country Camping Permit

(b) Second Prize:

· 1 Night Accommodation at Lost Creek Resort*

· Waskesiu Marina – Heart Lake Tour

(c) Third Prize:

2005 PANP Annual Family Pass

Resort accommodations and golf prizes are subject to some restrictions.

Hawood Hotel: Available October 2004 – March 2005, additional restrictions apply.

Lost Creek Resort: Available September – May, additional restrictions apply.

Lobstick golf: Available September 2004, May and June 2005.

Ground transportation, gratuities, meals, telephone costs, drinks, and other incidental expenses are not included in any prize. Any applicable taxes are the responsibility of the winners.

9. Prizes are non-transferable and must be used within one year after award. Substitutions are not permitted.

10. The decision of the judges is final and winners will be notified by mail. The judging panel consists of members of The Waskesiu Community Council and Parks Canada.

11. Winning entries will be announced in September and posted on waskesiu.org. Entry in the contest constitutes approval to publish the winning photograph, photographer and town/city of photographer.

12. Employees of Parks Canada, and the councilors of The Waskesiu Community Council, are not eligible to participate in the contest.
