Park Management Planning Underway

During the summer and fall of 2004, the public provided input into Prince Albert National Park's scoping document. The draft scoping document is available for public review and a consultative process will begin with Parks Canada during the spring of 2005. The scoping document guides the preparation of the management plan.

Once the scoping document is finalized, the management planning process will begin. During this process, the public is invited to provide input into possible solutions and actions related to those actions identified in the scoping document.

A management plan is a strategic guide for future management of a national park and must be prepared every five years. It is the primary public accountability document for each national park.
