A banner year for Waskesiu.org.

Total hits for the first full year of operations ending on March 31, 2005 reached 2.95 million. Interest continues to grow with new advertisers coming on stream. Total hits for the first three months of 2005 were 830,000, indicating huge growth for this calendar year.

The Waskesiu.org photo contest, supported by Parks Canada and Waskesiu businesses, attracted 406 entries. Winners are posted on the site. We are using some of the great shots on the website and in publications.
In 2004, we established a sponsorship program in addition to the advertising opportunities the site provided. We concluded an agreement with Rawlco that provided frequent spots on Rawlco radio stations mentioning Waskesiu.org.

We regularly get inquiries from individuals interested in visiting PANP and provide answers to their questions or refer them to the appropriate source. We have already had several inquiries in 2005 about summer vacations.

The number of advertisers continues to grow and we will be working to increase the number in order to give visitors a more complete picture of Waskesiu. The Community Council has approved access to the site to all businesses with a Parks Canada business license.
