Membership Rules

If you are interested in joining us, we would welcome your involvement! Membership in the Cottage Owner's Association is available to "cottage owners" holding valid leases in relation to cottages located in Prince Albert National Park.

There is a limit of one (1) membership per cottage. Members holding valid leases in respect of a cottage may maintain their membership in the Association from year to year by the payment of membership dues, and voting is on the basis of one (1) vote per member.

Our annual membership fees are determined by the Board each year. The membership fee for 2002 and for 2003 was only $25.

The business and affairs of the Cottage Owners' Association is conducted and managed by the Board of Directors of the Association, with the help of its officers.

The Board of Directors of the Association is to consist of seven (7) members. It is intended (but not required) that the Board consist of:

a) at least one (1) Director to be a cottage owner from Lakeview Subdivision #1;

b) at least one (1) Director to be a cottage owner from Lakeview Subdivision #2;

c) at least one (1) Director to be a cottage owner from Lakeview Subdivision #3; and

d) at least two (2) Directors to be cottage owners from Prospect Point.

The President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Association are appointed by (and may be removed by) the Board of Directors.
