Project Advancement Strategy

A Project Management Team has been assigned to lead Prince Albert National Parks' staff in the advancement of several key projects within the Park. This Project Management Team brings with them a wide range of background and experience and a fresh outlook on these issues. The Team will solicit the perspectives of all interested parties and work to find reasonable solutions that address these issues and respect the values and principles of Parks Canada.

Project Management Team:

Lead -	Charlie Zinkan -Executive Director, Mountain Parks
Science Advisor	Dr. Bruce Leeson -Senior Environmental Assessment Specialist, Western Canada
Communications	Bill Hunt -A/Senior Communications Advisor -Western and Northern Canada

Objective:

To address the following topics:

• Spruce budworms in the community of Waskesiu

• Water levels in Waskesiu Lake -impacts on recreation and ecological integrity

• Lobstick Golf Course lease negotiations

• National Park Management Plan -(e.g. benchmark lakes and backcountry zoning)

The Field Unit Superintendent and parks staff will continue to handle all normal operations and provide support to the Project Management Team as required.
All correspondence and information sharing related to these issues will be directed to the Project Management Team. Bill Hunt will be coordinating Parks Canada's communications relative to these projects. For more
