The Fundraising Plan 2003

Contribute To Spray Program

The Waskesiu Community Council and the SOS Leadership group worked extremely hard over the winter to get this project approved. The rest is in your hands.

  • Please make your cheque payable to: WASKESIU TOWNSITE ENHANCEMENT SOCIETY INC. or WTESI. Also, please reference the: Budworm Account

  • The funds are required now, ($150) as the spray program needs to be paid for. Please do not delay.

  • Postdated cheques will be accepted but you are encouraged to make one donation to keep the administration of the funds as simple as possible.

  • Cheques may be mailed to: WTESI 69 South Industrial Drive, Prince Albert SK S6V7L7
    or dropped off at: Waskesiu Golf Course
    or dropped off at Herve Langlois Waskesiu address of 1582 Eagle.

The Waskesiu Community Council has established a fund raising committee, headed by Bryan Matheson. This Committee is supported by all major organizations in the community, including the Cabin and Cottage Owners, Save Our Spruce, Chamber of Commerce and the Waskesiu Golf Course.

The key elements of the plan are as follows:

  • The one-time fund raising campaign will be conducted in the spring of summer of 2003 to raise funds for the full three-year program.

  • All donations will be eligible for a tax receipt for income tax purposes.

  • Cabin and cottage owners will be asked to make a MINIMUM donation of $150 per property, equal to $50 per year for the three-year program.

  • Business owners and other possible major donors will be approached directly.

  • Individuals and Waskesiu supporters will also be encouraged to make donations.

  • The funds collected will be placed in a bank account established at the P.A. Credit Union.

  • Financial statements will be prepared and made available

The Waskesiu Community Council is democratically elected to represent your views to Parks Canada. We assist Prince Albert National Park in establishing practices for the operation of Waskesiu. Our council operates under the terms of a Memorandum Of Understanding outlining responsibilities to you and to Parks Canada.
