Two nominations were received for the post of year-round resident representative on the Waskesiu Community council.

The byelection was called to fill a vacancy resulting from the absence of any candidates in last year's general election.

Nancy Wood-Archer and Larry McGregor filed nomination papers for the post.

The byelection will be held on August 18 at the Recreation Hall on Montreal Drive.

Polls will be opened from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Eligible electors are persons who have resided in Waskesiu for three months prior to election day and continue to reside in Waskesiu.

This position is intended to provide a representative for residents who reside in Waskesiu year-round.
